Austin's Best Choice for Auto Repair

I went to Take 5 Oil Change by Lake Creek and 183 for an emissions inspection and was told I needed to brand new brakes because my brakes locked up during the brake test. Luckily they did not provide any brake services and told me to come back after I got my brakes replaced for the Emissions Inspection. I called Austin Automotive Specialist in Cedar Park for a price quote on replacing brakes. The gentleman, Clay, was super nice and explained to me that brakes locking up doesn’t necessarily equate to needing new brakes. They provided a free brake inspection and found my brakes to be perfectly fine. They also do Emissions inspections, and went ahead and completed one for me. I was very satisfied with their customer service and my experience here. The guys that work here are good honest people, super friendly, and saved me a whole lot of money and trouble! A big thank you to Clay and his team!

Clay and Todd are awesome! Techs also know what they're doing and fix it right the first time. I've been to this location several times and always treated well. On one occasion Clay stated they could not fix my issue and recommended I take it to Ford in which I did. Had they known what the code was exactly no doubt they could've done the work, but not all information is retrievable some times. They shoot customers straight as well, while waiting on another vehicle of ours to get repaired a customer walked in and wanted an oil change in which there was at least a two hour wait. They were prepared to wait in the lobby for it, but Todd told them the chairs were not that comfortable (which is true, lol) and if they'd prefer going home and waiting comfortably then return in two hours he would get them right in! That's top notch service in my book people! I highly recommend them for your automotive needs big or small! Great service guys!

Excellent customer service! Clay is awesome! I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are genuine & take great care of your vehicle, fixing what is needed & won't "rake you over the coals". They give you a heads up on things they see that might need to be done in the near future, but don't pressure you to get your money!

Although this is a small shop, the staff are professional and a team of well qualified technicians. Each time our vehicle has been in the shop, we promptly received diagnostics, an accurate estimate, and expected completion time that was reasonable. While most reviews you will read online from customers that may have had one experience with a business, my husband and I recently purchased a used vehicle that unfortunately immediately began to have different issues. Over the years we have have owned dozens of vehicles and have had service/repair done at many shops. While I can't speak for the other locations, I can say that this location in particular is one of the most honest, prompt, and professional around.

Have only has positive experiences. We were unsure, not our usual mechanic, this is who the warranty had and whom was close. We tried than and they have been fantastic to us.

Been here for a checkup on my car since I was hitting a pavement last night. The service is JUST AMAZING !!! Super fast service and very professional and respectful folks, from the manager to the highly skilled techs. Thank you very much, guys !!! Checked out everything and charged me NOTHING !!!! I went here to receive a pre-purchase inspection on a used car. Their insight, opinion, and thoroughness in the inspection report allowed me to bargain down the price further at the dealership by nearly $1000. They were also very quick and efficient, with great availability for a Saturday and the staff was very personable. I'll definitely be taking my vehicle here again for normal service.

Clay and his team at AAS are great. I've been to several other auto shops and dealership service departments in the past, but no more. These guys have my business because they are fair, they do great work, and you end up feeling like a well taken care of customer.

Clay and his team are honest and will always take care of your vehicle to the best of their abilities. When I had an issue with my Pontiac, they called around to check if my make/model/year was covered by a recall prior to continuing working on my car. I have gone to them several times since then and have always been pleased with their work.
