Went in for an oil change on a Saturday afternoon, service was prompt. However, they did change it with the wrong oil type. My car uses 0w20 and they replaced it with 5w30. Brought it back on Monday, with a little hesitation and the gentleman behind the desk asking me "Why does it need 0w20 oil?" Besides the obvious fact that is states so on the oil cap and in the manual, I proceeded to let him know that my VTEC solenoid needs a thinner oil (like the manufacturer recommends) to properly operate during the colder months. Everyone make mistakes, but the thing that irked me was the gentleman asking me "Why does my car need the oil the manufacturer recommends?" I don't pretend to know more about cars than mechanics, but at least, read the oil cap and admit when you're wrong. 😒😒😒 My last shop permanently closed after going to them for 10 years, sadly, my search for a new one continues.
I am sorry for the oil weight issue. I know having to come back is an inconvenience. My man immediately agreed it was the wrong oil and change it out without hesitation. I have reviewed the audio and video of your conversation about oil weight. I believe you misconstrued it into "why do you need 0w20". Again sorry for your trouble.
