Andy and Alex were knowledgeable about the work being performed on my vehicle. They explained the options for repairs and pricing. I recommend this location for your auto repair needs.

Thank you Shane.

Friendly staff, excellent costumer service. The manager even showed me on my car what needed to be repaired and why. One of the staff dropped me off at home so I didn’t have to wait at the shop.

Thank you Sarah!

I made an 8 days previously appointment at 8 am I left my car and return 7 hours after. (3 pm) they didn’t make nothing I got my car use another service shop

We are sorry Dr. J. There are times we get baked up from earlier appointments that turn into larger jobs requiring more time. This unfortunately sets us back. Just as a surgeon, during a surgery, finding he needs more time and pushes back his next patient to make sure the current one is properly taken care of. I will address this with the crew. You should have been contacted and been made aware of any delays.

I've been taking several vehicles to Melissa (shop manager) and always appreciate her detailed descriptions and options she presents. Today was wife's explorer with an engine light. Resolved by diagnosis and learning last oil change didn't secure the cap - easily resolved. Then she wanted to take a little more time to be sure issue was fully resolved, it was. Thanks for years of honest and high quality service!

Thank you Mike. your vehicles are in good hands with Melissa.

DISCRIMINATORY: The owner asked me why I continue to live in Texas and suggested I leave in response to my honest review. Clearly, he is upset with me for sharing my honest review publicly rather than concerned about what happened to me at Austin Automotive. Where I live has nothing to do my experience at Austin Automotive. I absolutely LOVE Texas and moved here to be closer to family. Make no mistake; there is a huge difference. I’m a very outgoing person with a friendly personality, but I don’t tolerate discrimination, dishonesty, and creepy behavior that is unprofessional and inappropriate. If you're thinking about coming here, DON'T. I came in for a basic oil change and never gave Austin Automotive permission to do a synthetic oil change on my car, which they did anyway. They tried to upsell me and talk me into it *after* the fact once the work was already completed, thinking that a young female in her 20s knows nothing about cars and wouldn't stand up for herself. They chose to mess with the wrong person. As a matter of fact, I know better and refused to pay $91 for a synthetic oil change I did NOT consent to. The waiting room was warm and did not have good AC. They were fast, but that is because they didn't do my oil change correctly. Even if they claimed to have done an unauthorized synthetic, I discovered that the windshield wiper wash fluids were not replaced. This is always included in a standard oil change. The tech who worked on my car was creepy and kept staring at me throughout. He also watched me get into my car. He wasn't going to say anything to me as I was heading out, but suddenly jumped at his chance to talk to me and said he wanted to "introduce himself." The whole experience made me incredibly uncomfortable as a young female in her 20s. I advise everyone to steer clear of this sleazy place!

We are sorry for your perception of our company and what you described in your review.

Let me start with the work on my truck was done in a timely manner and by all indications done well. However, after an animal had gotten into my engine compartment and blew off my serpentine belt and blew out my alternator, I decided to go ahead with an oil change as well. With an $1,100 bill I was happy the work got done quickly. Picking up my truck I found a tire in my back seat. When I went in to ask why there was a tire in my back seat (clearly from a smaller vehicle) the guy at the front desk was apologetic and did a quick clean on my seat. He explained that on the test drive my truck was used to take a customer to a tire shop in south Austin. I don’t feel that a customers vehicle should be used like an Uber let alone their back seat used for transportation of dirty used auto parts. Also, in regards to the oil change. I’m sure they changed the oil. But none of my other fluids were topped off. No windshield wiper fluid nothing. Even the 5 minute oil change places provide that service. So what did I get for $1,100? Yes my truck was repaired in a timely manner. But I also received my truck used as a transport for customers, transport for used auto parts (which left residue on my cloth seats), and no additional service such as topping off all fluids in my oil change. Needless to say I’d be hard pressed to use these guys again.

Buck, I sincerely apologize and agree with you 100%. While we road test all customers vehicles it should not be used in conjunction with other shop or customer services. I will deal with this appropriately.
