This review is definitely long over due! I don't know much about cars but I do know the sound a car makes when you need a brake replacement. I heard these noises for a while and it was to the point where I couldn't even slightly press my brakes without a grinding/screeching noise. I knew I couldn't avoid it any longer and it was about 5:00 pm when most shops are closing or already closed.... Then, I found Austin's Automotive Specialists they were also in the process of closing but I thought I'd still give it a shot. So as soon as I walk in I'm greeted by Clay and his big smile. It made me feel very welcome to begin with, I let him know a bit of what is going on and right away he had one of the guys take my car in to take a look at it. Of course I procrastinated too long and the brakes were grinding against one another, he knew that it wasn't safe for me to leave without them being replaced (every other place said come back tomorrow) it was about 5:15 by this time but Clay didn't just send me away. He took me into the garage showed me exactly what was wrong and educated me on the basics of owning my own car. He then ordered exactly what I needed for my car, had one of his guys go pick the parts up and still took the time to replace them. They go above and beyond here to make sure you are taken care of. I didn't end up leaving until 6:30 which of course was an hour past closing time but they didn't once make me feel like a burden, like they didn't not want to help nor did they belittle me or take advantage for my lack of knowledge on cars. They educated me and made a life long customer. I recently purchased a new vehicle from a used dealership about an hour away. As soon as I got the car I drove straight to Austin Automotive Specialist to make sure everything was in tip top shape and as always without a blink of an eye Clay and his guys were out there making sure I was taken care of.
