Austin's Best Choice for Auto Repair

Took about 4 times the time they told me they would take to change my oil (45min to 2.5hrs) and final price was much higher than advertised. Overall, will not come again.

I brought my truck in for a transmission service and a check engine light on. The tech said that it was the torque converter and it was all one piece part of the transmission that the transmission needed to be replaced. Now I am not an automotive mechanic but I do know better than that. They quoted me 12-13k to replace the transmission which I also know better than that and that it would be better to trade it in than to fix it. The code I had pulled by a mechanic comes back to the transmission clutch solenoid and that part is about 350 plus labor and fluids and what not. The shop charged me 165 to read a code which they did not do or they would have found the exact problem.

Paul and joe are great to work with. Had my explorer to another shop where they replaced the same part 2 times and was about to the third. I decided to go to these guys in hutto to-get another opinion. Glad I did wasn’t the part at all the connector that plugged into the part was almost broke in two. I’m less than 30 minutes they had it figured out and parts ordered. A few days later was fixed no problems since. Other than the 1000$+ they charged me at the other shop. Now I have taken my car and my daughters car there for repairs. Thank you guys!
