On July 7 I took my car to get a diagnosis for my cooling fan assembly. Their end result was that the motor on the fan is not working and that I need to change the whole assembly since that is the only way to purchase a new one which would cost $299 to purchase. I did not go ahead with the repair because I thought that price was too high. I was able to find one for $180. Turns out that they missed diagnosed my car for a simple wire that cost $7 and my fan was working just right and a very simple fix. So now I am out $72 plus the $230 that was used to purchase and replace the fan assesmbly.
We are sorry Mario. Had we proceeded to replace your cooling fan and found it was only a broken or shorted wire that is all we would have charged you for. It is unusual but not unheard of for a primary diagnosis turn out to be something else. When that happens we adjust our billing. Many of our review state just that. How we lowered the charge when lesser work was required. that is why we have such a solid following of repeat and referral customers.
