Brought my 2015 Dodge2015 Ram in because of check engine light,I stated that I knew it needed a fuel pump and fuel sensor control. He said "I would have to charge $154.99 for diagnosis " even after I told him what I needed done. Sales guy called back said you need a tune up because plugs were over required mileage $886.80 more to originale bill. Total bill came back $2,506.70 and the check engine light still on , Sales guy said they had to figure out the problem more diagnosis more money. So they basically I was charged for a service that did not fix my problem, on because it was recommended. The code recommended starting with number #3 cylinder. Wires, coil pack, fuel injectors. Basically they charged me for a tune up I didn't need immediately.
Sorry you didn't feel like our service matched your expectations. You are correct, our initial diagnostics confirmed the full pump and during that same diagnostic we identified that your #3 cylinder was misfiring. Coils tested good so the next step was to perform cylinder compression and leak down tests which are not basic diagnostic tests and are quite involved. When we called to discuss what was needed as a next step to get to the root of the issue our recommendation was not well received. We did our best to outline the potential issue and next steps to solve but that didn't seem to want to be heard. Again, we apologize there wasn't an easier solution but we did our best to get what you needed done.
