Austin's Best Choice for Auto Repair

These guys are the best, I've only lived in the Austin area about a year but I can't imagine going anywhere else. They do honest work for fair prices, and they're the first place I recommend when my friends are looking for a mechanic.

Despite my “John Doe” moniker, I am a real customer of Austin’s Automotive Specialist in Leander. Being a new resident to this area and state, I was looking for a trusted and competent automobile service business. Knowing that any car repair and maintenance service is expensive no matter where you go, I did a web search of various auto repair businesses, read their customer reviews, and given the positive reviews and proximity to my location, took my car to this location for service. I had an extensive list of service performed, and Darryl and his team did not disappoint. I have no complaints with the quality of their service, and the thoroughness of the work performed. A small thing, but huge from a customer service perspective. I had told Darryl to change out the spark plugs on my car. When I picked the car up, Darryl said he pulled a couple of the plugs but they looked brand new and did not need replacing. He pulled the Car Fax on my car that showed a tune up and spark plug replacement had been recently done, which I did not remember. He could have charged me for a spark plug replacement and I would have never been the wiser. This speaks to the honesty and integrity that he and his shop operates to in his business. Rude service today. They think they're the only lousy shop around by telling me "dont come back", as if I need you to tell me what I already knew. You dont like your own medicine of being disrespected? Then how about showing more respect when a client comes through the door. Y'kno... instead of staring at me without saying nothing like I'm there to rob your shop. Respect is mutual or no respect at all. Several times Ive done business here (mainly inspections and alignments) with family vehicles, and was never treated this way until today. Ive already got my inspection done elsewhere, and you guys thought you were cool by saying "dont come back" AFTER I left the property driving away? Not even a clown makes me laugh like you.

Took my car in to get the A/C fixed. Got taken care of!

This place tries to sell you thousands of dollars of other unnecessary services instead of the one or two you’re actually there for. They will refuse service when you decline their repairs.. It’s one of “those places”. Go elsewhere. Do better, AAS, cause right now the acronym is sounding accurate. They definitely take advantage of those a little less knowledgeable in the auto world, and just because you’re acting like the movie phone guy, Russell, doesn’t mean people will just buy your schtick.
