Austin's Best Choice for Auto Repair

I am new to Austin and was looking for a repair shop to help me with replacing my drive belt. I called 1st time to hear their quotes, 2nd time to ask about their parts, and 3rd time to make an appointment. Each time I spoke to Melissa was rude and condescending. When I politely mentioned how she was talking to me, she got defensive and said that her reviews spoke for herself and that I can take my car somewhere else if I’d like. She incorrectly said that I called 4 times about a drive belt and that it is unnecessary. She said that next time I should preface that I’m “new to car things” so that they can “use kid gloves with me.” My car is older so I’ve had to do many, many repairs on it and no shop has ever had someone talk to me so rudely and demeaning. I tried to explain that I understand they may be busy but I didn’t really appreciate how she was talking to me. I had to end up hanging up the phone because I was not receiving decent customer service. Taking your car to a new car shop can be hard and you want to make an educated decision before you do that without being belittled or given attitude for asking questions and getting information.

I was having some issues with my brakes making grinding noises/sounds and went to the nearest auto repair shop. They inspected my vehicle and the amount of work and money needed to get everything addressed was astronomical. So, relocated recently and had previously worked with Austin's Automotive Specialists- just at a different location. I reached out with my inspection report from the first repair shop, and asked for a quote to see if maybe I could save some money. My companion and I were victims of the tornado that struck in May, and we are currently focusing all our financial resources on our never ending repairs. I called this location and the phone was answered before I even registered it rang. Then, I spoke to a gentleman by the name of Emery Williams, who provided me an email address to send him my information for a quote. Despite his store volume during the day he was responsive, patient, and thorough both in our emails and phone call. He sent me a quote of my requested items and at that time my partner reached out saying we were stretched thin, financially speaking, and would have to attempt some of the repairs on our own. I let Emery know this and he was very understanding with our situation and informed us if we need anything in the future feel free to reach out! The best/worst part was the prices were cheaper than our first auto repair shop quote, but unfortunately some repairs had to be done today because it was in dire need of fixing. I wish I lived within the vicinity, so I could have went to Emery's shop first! I felt so devasted seeing the difference of the cost between the two shops. In the future, we will be definitely be reaching out for any repairs we are unable to manage on our own and once we get situated with our home repairs. Customer service makes the brand, and Emery's customer service made my day!

I have brought my car here a few times over the years. This last time, I did not have an appointment but they were kind enough to squeeze it into their busy day. They checked out my car, called me to let me know what repairs needed to be done and got it fixed up by the next day. They are honest and always do a great job.
