Austin's Best Choice for Auto Repair

"Wow" is the word that sums up their staff at the Buda Location. I came in on a Friday evening because my brakes were grinding really bad. After taking a look at my car, Ryan explained to me what needed to be done, but unfortunately it was too close to closing time so they wouldn't be able to take care of the brakes until the next day. I felt a little panicky as I was freaked out about driving my car to work the next day, all the way in North Austin..... After I told Ryan about my commute, he asked Tom if he would stay late with him so my car could get taken care of. Ryan did not feel safe with me driving my car so far with the brakes in such poor condition. Not only did the guys stay late for me, but they were so nice and friendly while I was waiting for my car to get done! I needed my car inspected and an oil change, so they did both of these while waiting for the person getting new pads to come back from the store. Tom even printed out directions to the Tax Office so I could go get my registration done!!! The professionalism, customer service and genuine care for their clients truly puts them far above every other shop I have been to. Needless to say, I won't be going anywhere else for my car needs. First off let me state that I don't normally write reviews because quite frankly, as a business owner I don't have a whole lot of time. That is how impressed I was with Clay and his staff. I stopped in because of some vibration in my car I thought I needed and alignment but was very pressed for time. Clay squeezed me in to at least take a look at it and see what is the issue. Here is where he blew my mind... instead of just giving me a service I don't need and charging me for it. He told me what the real issue was and referred me to someone he knew and trusted to get the job done in the quickest and most cost effective way. That to me, says a lot about the organization top to bottom and why I appreciate local Austin companies like this one. Clay's understanding of what my needs are and what is important to me turned me from a just so happen to be in the area customer to a loyal customer for life. Clay and the guys at Austin Automotive Specialists were all super friendly, honest and made me feel comfortable leaving our car in their care. Since I was able to just leave our car with them for a while, I didn't make an appointment, I just called one morning and asked if I could drop it off, and that worked out great. I discussed issues/concerns and what we wanted to have done, and they were able to look at it, and called me with a price within a few hours. I gave them the "go ahead" and they had it fixed and back to me the next morning. They didn't try to add on a bunch of other services or parts, and when I went to pick it up, the price was exactly what I was quoted over the phone. I also appreciated that they weren't condescending towards me because I'm female (you ladies out there know what I'm talking about!). I checked around on the price of the parts, and I felt like they were very competitive, and even way under what a lot of places would charge. I'm really glad they are getting such great reviews on here. It's a great reflection of what they offer. Called this morning to get 2 new tires for my truck. Since they are 31", he had them, but had to go to his warehouse in south austin to pick them up and bring them back up to the shop. This was fine by me though as we scheduled an appointment for later in the day. Went in and was out in 30 minutes with 2 brand spankin new tires. Nice, easy, friendly service. Andy was such a great manager. I brought my kia here down from the dealership after they had tried to upsell me for $600 worth of unnecessary repairs. I walked out with a discounted alignment instead. Definitely coming back here for all my services.

These guys are honest and friendly.. After almost being scammed by groovy automotive they took care of me no problem -- they also didn't try to solicit me anything extra which was nice for once. Very accommodating and great service. Will use them again

My family and I have been coming here for a few years now, ever since we moved into the area and they have always been extremely fair in pricing and very informative. They always get us in and out rather quickly, quicker than any other place I've been to. I always recommend this specific location to anyone needing assistance. I freaking love this place! I've been coming here for the past 3-4 years after my husband had a really great experience and now we don't go anywhere else. These guys are knowledgable, honest, and they've got GREAT customer service. And look, for the women out there who feel that mechanic shops are always just trying to take advantage, I understand the feeling, but these guys aren't like that. I have to take my car to get serviced every time by myself and they don't pressure me to get more services done or God forbid do it without my knowledge, I just feel like they're giving me their honest recommendations and I can appreciate that. They are always polite and quick to fix my car. They never recommend work I don't need. I have to go during work hours sometimes and I can work from there since they have wifi.
