This place is wonderful! The guys are friendly and incredibly honest. I've gone in twice thinking I had major issues and expecting to spend a lot of money. I know next to nothing about cars and could've easily been swindled. Both times, Mike personally looked into my issues, explained to me what the actual problem was, and how I could fix on my own at NO cost. They will definitely be getting my business from now on!

These guys are AWESOME!!!! Mike Riley and his crew saved me this weekend. My 2003 Yukon was dying while I was driving, and I needed to leave town. Mike diagnosed the problems in less than 15 minutes, repaired it in 5 hours, and sent me on my happy way! Their pricing was completely fair and appropriate. I STRONGLY recommend this shop.

I went to Austin Automotive specialists, because the auto parts place told me I had to replace the terminator before I can replace a battery. The staff was so kind to look at it, clean it up and put some terminator protector and on it, and was honest to tell me I do not need to replace the terminator. The battery also was charged enough and I did not have to replace it at this time. He did all that and did not charge me. I definitely will go to them for all my repair needs. I will recommend them to anyone

Mike Riley, manager at the Research Blvd location is a real professional. He was helpful and made us feel as if we were the most important customers he's ever had. He spent time describing the situation, gave us options and generally instilled a genuine confidence in Austin Automotive's technical and mechanical ability. We were "walk in's." We were looking at an expensive fix but Mike Riley was patient, answered all our questions and never ever pressured us. We would recommend this place to any and all car lovers and those wanting to get extra life out of an older vehicle. A seller brought an old vehicle in so I could pay for a buyer's check and compression check on the engine. Mike was honest and straightforward in telling me the myriad problems with the vehicle. If I wouldn't have brought the vehicle in, I could have wasted several thousand dollars buying a complete money pit. I'll be coming back here for anything I need.

My 2004 Escape has been feeling puny, running rough. Engine light went on. Took it in. 24 hours later and it's running better than it has in 2 years! Yay!

I can't say enough about my positive experience with Austin Automotive Specialists (especially Mike Riley)! I went to Austin Automotive with a brake light issue. In no time they were able to not only diagnose the issue, but also the cause of the issue (careful who's car you jump... seriously). Not only were all of the repairs completed within the day, but the price was extremely reasonable even after the replacement part turned out to be more expensive than we originally thought it would be. The staff is highly knowledgable, friendly, and fast. The service was excellent. I am highly appreciative of everyone at Austin Automotive for a great job.
