Clay and the rest of the crew here are nothing short of awesome! They do great work and they are very meticulous about it! Clay the manager will give it to you straight with no bs. He will always take the time to understand his customers and their needs. I love working with these guys

I had an accident that involved the underneath of my car and could not determine the damage, and it being Good Friday my go to mechanic was closed. I called these guys and Doug told me to bring it on in. They were professional and gave me the news I needed to determine it was necessary to get insurance involved. Doug didn't charge for the diagnostics and was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this shop based on the honest and gracious service I was given.

I've been looking for a new local mechanic and I've finally found one! Clay and Chris made my experience the best it could possibly be. Not only was I welcomed without a reservation but was provided a lift home and then they had the work completed a few short hours later. The service here is top notch and my car is running great!

I have brought my 2008 Dodge Ram in two times. BOTH times I was given thorough and easy to understand information about what the issue was, and BOTH times I was charged less than I anticipated. The first time I had a couple of computer modules out and as I had that problem on a previous vehicle, I knew what it cost (and it ain't cheap!). Sure enough, the estimate here came back about $950, which they actually apologized for, but I knew they were not overcharging and approved the work. When I went to pick up my truck, they advised that after doing some of the work they had recommended, the truck actually ran great. So they stopped there and my bill when I picked it up was much less than the original estimate. MOST places would have either done the unnecessary work and charged me full price, and sadly, some others I believe might not have even done the unnecessary work and yet STILL charged the full estimate. Not here! Today, my check engine light was on, so I brought it back and was advised of the $98 diagnostic fee. After a thorough check, the engine light issue was merely a gas cap going bad and unable to fully tighten correctly. They recommended an actual Dodge gas cap and advised me on a couple of other things they saw that will need attn down the road (without the hard sell!) and then sent me on my way. NO CHARGE. Bottom line, if you're like me and struggle to have faith in the competency and fairness of most auto repair shops you've dealt with in the past, worry no more and just go to Austin Automotive Specialists. It's the only place I'll be bring my truck in the future!

Hands down the best experience with auto service I've ever had. As someone who knows very little about cars, finding someone to trust with my car for repairs and maintenance has always been a challenge. After taking my 2007 Edge in for a repair in 2015, I knew my search was over. Clay has always been reliable and upfront about what my car needs. He's always greeted me with a smile and a handshake and is always a pleasure to talk to. He's very respectful and direct. He cuts through the BS and is always patient with my questions. And he takes the time to clearly explain anything I'm not familiar with, going as far as to Google a part to show me what he's talking about. He's earned my trust, and my business, for as long as he's running the shop!

The best team I have seen since I moved to Austin! Genuinely honest and upfront communication from start to finish. They even shuttled me to and from my home. Overall, they are a great group of guys that work really well together and for you! I will definitely go to them from now on.

Went in for an oil change and was offered consultation on problems I brought up after paying. They found the source of the problems and pointed out another for me I wasnt aware of and didnt charge me for the time.
