I had a poor experience with their service. My car is in worse shape then before i spent hundreds of dollars with this company. I have had 2 shops confirm this, 1 being an austin a.s. Document stating work done incorrectly. They (shop whom attempted job) agreed to take a second look. After cleaning the problem area, was told there was nothing wrong. I have a puddle of oil where i park my vehicle. Nothing wrong? have tried everything I can and refuse to fix their mistake. This is how you treat your customers? When asked who performed the work, My answer was followed by the response, we dont have anyone by that name. Wow. Clearly i have spent alot of time trying to make this right.

I was in need of an oil change and state inspection, but had grown unhappy with the quality of service from the new staff at the place I had been going. My daughter had used Austin Automotive for her inspection so I decided to give them a try. The staff was very courteous and friendly and the service was reasonably priced. They let me know my brake fluid would need to be flushed soon due to my mileage as part of regular maintenance. Plus they have a sticker that will get you a $5 discount on your oil change. I asked for one and instead of waiting till next time I came in, they gave me the discount today. I think I've found my new shop in Austin. My first time visiting. The good is I was a walk in for an oil change on my newer 4cyl car. About an hour later my car had its oil change. They did a full synthetic for about $80. The bad is thats all they did. No indication they checked the fluids or filters or that tires had correct pressures. Not even a floor vacuum. It's not what I am used to with an oil change. For that price and time there's better places elsewhere.

Going here has been the best experience I've ever had receiving any service on my car. Clay is truly so kind and helpful, the waiting room is well kept and spacious, the prices are great, and it doesn't take nearly as long to get anything done as it has at other places. I came in thinking I needed a new starter. They were able to get me in same day and in a short amount of time. It turned out I had a leak in my fuel pump. They were so kind in telling me there was a recall for this situation on my car. It cost me nothing at all and they told me where to go and get it fixed. They even wrote down the recall number for me. I feel so grateful that they were nice enough to tell me the truth and made sure I was going to get the issue resolved. These guys are amazing!! This review is definitely long over due! I don't know much about cars but I do know the sound a car makes when you need a brake replacement. I heard these noises for a while and it was to the point where I couldn't even slightly press my brakes without a grinding/screeching noise. I knew I couldn't avoid it any longer and it was about 5:00 pm when most shops are closing or already closed.... Then, I found Austin's Automotive Specialists they were also in the process of closing but I thought I'd still give it a shot. So as soon as I walk in I'm greeted by Clay and his big smile. It made me feel very welcome to begin with, I let him know a bit of what is going on and right away he had one of the guys take my car in to take a look at it. Of course I procrastinated too long and the brakes were grinding against one another, he knew that it wasn't safe for me to leave without them being replaced (every other place said come back tomorrow) it was about 5:15 by this time but Clay didn't just send me away. He took me into the garage showed me exactly what was wrong and educated me on the basics of owning my own car. He then ordered exactly what I needed for my car, had one of his guys go pick the parts up and still took the time to replace them. They go above and beyond here to make sure you are taken care of. I didn't end up leaving until 6:30 which of course was an hour past closing time but they didn't once make me feel like a burden, like they didn't not want to help nor did they belittle me or take advantage for my lack of knowledge on cars. They educated me and made a life long customer. I recently purchased a new vehicle from a used dealership about an hour away. As soon as I got the car I drove straight to Austin Automotive Specialist to make sure everything was in tip top shape and as always without a blink of an eye Clay and his guys were out there making sure I was taken care of. If any of you are having car issues and want to find someone you can trust this place is for you!!!
