I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by Mike who is the manager. I needed a wheel alignment and he was more than helpful. There was one car ahead of me and He suggested where to go for my state inspection while I was waiting. I was the next car to be serviced. I went a few blocks down, received my inspection in 10 minutes and returned to Mike's shop and my alignment was done in 30 minutes. I highly recommend Austin's Automotive for car maintenance!!! He even called later that afternoon to see how the car was driving and that he was off the next day and if I had any issues (which I didn't) to feel free to call him. Thumbs up all around!!

Great customer service Wait time was very reasonable and the workers were very personable. This was my first visit, but I would definitely recommend them and will be back.

On a rainy day in a used car I had bought a week prior I pulled into Austin Automotive specialist. I had the new wipers as Target had a 2 for one sale. I thought I could do them myself....um no. I ran inside with the baby and they said don't worry. This really nice guy came out and replaced them for me. He came in and asked if I had the one for the back window. I didn't even think about that one, and I remembered the rubber was coming of, dangling down. He asked how I was liking this used suv. I mentioned to him that in the first week the battery died and the auto start stopped working. He said he would measure my battery. He did, still out in the rain. Came back and said the battery was fine, but if there is an issue already that it may indicate it needs to be replaced or something else's could be an issue. The next day the engine light went one. So, I will be taking it to them for other issues that have happened. Lesson learned when buying a used car ALWAYS go get it checked out before buying. As soon as I can I will be taking it back for all my fix ups. They were so nice and I felt very well taken care of. Nice waiting room as well.

My husband and I have taken our vehicles here just about every time we need anything done. Today I was in a bind and they took care of me once again. I live an hour away and we will continue to be loyal to these people. We took our vintage car to their other location in round rock and still they did a fantastic job. As a woman I hate going to car places but they are always very polite and very forrhcoming. I am very grateful to them!

They really helped me out one day. I forgot to retorque my lugnuts, and one wheel was dangerously loose. It was early morning before work and they figured it out quick and got me going for a somewhat fair price. I'm giving 4 stars because I think $40 is too much to tighten wheel lugs, but they were friendly enough!

If you want a quick service, this should be your destination. I used to take my car to kwik kar in buda but they had 2 hours wait time. I didn't wanna wait that long and was coming back home when I saw this place. Just stopped to see how long would it take for state inspection and after 20 minutes, I was driving back my car with new inspection sticker. Customer service at its best!!!

The repair men were very nice & didn't charge me for my oil change since Ray had given my boyfriend one about 2 months before & something about spilt oil but he kept his word & was very courteous. They fixed my cars issue & I'll be going back for my next oil change & a new catalytic converter that I need replaced. It did take longer than I expected but my experience was well worth it. Thanks guys!

Adam, James, and other staff members of Automotive Specialists (formerly Brake Specialists), are the best. I brought my husband's truck in, after hearing a terrible rattle in one wheel. I was prepared for the worst. But, after a free inspection, they determined it was simply a broken piece inside the center cap on the wheel. Purely cosmetic. They didn't charge a cent, even after a very thorough inspection. And Adam even suggested the most economical way for us to replace the center cap. Automotive Specialists came highly recommended to us by my mother who has been coming to them since they opened many years ago. Anyone who treats my mother well, fixes her problems, and doesn't overcharge her, is okay in my book. Very good staff with even better ethics. I'm glad they only experienced a name change recently; it's the same quality company, manager and employees.

It's so very rare to actually find an automotive repair or service shop these days that doesn't make you want to pull your hair out afterwards. I've used this place twice since moving back to Texas. I had my brakes changed out here and they quoted a fair price and that's what I ended up paying. NO hidden costs. The second, and most recent, time was after my wife's car broke. I was fairly sure she had a blown turbo, but due to my disabilities I'm unable to work with my hands long enough to effect a repair this intense. I had called the dealership and got a run around quote that ended up being 30 plus percent more than I paid. They did an excellent job of keeping us informed during the job and actually ended up coming in $200 under the initial quote! They also gave me a 10% military discount both times!!

Absolutely recommend this place! been coming here some before the name change. Clay Homann has always been great and straight with me on repairs, which is very helpful given our economy and that I'm a teacher. Thanks Austin's Automotive Specialist! I'll be back and will continue recommending others come here as well!
