Got my front brakes replaced here this week and they did an excellent job! Everyone was really nice and the wait wasn't bad at all. So happy with my experience here.

I LOVE this place!!! I cannot say enough great things about it. It is so wonderful to be able to walk in and Clay know exactly who I am. I used to have my dad take care of all my car stuff, but with me living so far I was scared to take it anywhere. After all, I had heard how so many ladies tend to get ripped off. Well luckily I walked in here, they put me at ease and are more than willing to call my dad and give him a detailed reason for why they must replace something. I sent my roommate here after she moved down from Kansas and she was also thankful, because of course, Clay put her at ease and she knew her car was in good hands. I would recommend this place to anyone. I have never been so happy with a shop, the service they provide, the staff, and the price! If you car needs love and care, this is the place to take it to! Horrible customer service, didn't do the job right the first time so on return they proceeded to deny their mistake, they lack the ability to properly balance and align your tires

I had a great experience here, after being told I need at least 800 a in repairs from another shop nearby I took it to them for a second opinion. I'm glad I did turns out it was an easier fix than I had been previously lead to believe. they had me in and out in just over an hour and for almost half the price. I went in for an oil change and to fix the alignment of my Elantra. The total waiting time was about an hour. The service was friendly and efficient in my opinion. They took $10 off my fully synthetic oil change when I brought in their online coupon so I think $50 for an oil change is a very competitive price. The alignment was $80 so also a fair price. No hidden fees or trying to oversell me things I didn't need. I like that they print the type of oil used on the sticker for those of us that forget those kinds of things! The only thing that bugged me was that they were doing some pretty loud interior construction doing business hours, not the biggest deal though. Waiting room has free wi-fi that was pretty speedy! It takes at least three visits to fix something. They are rude and demeaning. Charge an outrageous diagnostic fee for checking an engine light. And label it as a "diagnostic", but they only diagnose what the engine light is saying...I will never go back, even though I have been a loyal customer for over 14 years. Something has seriously changed for the worse.

Brake Specialist just reconfirmed their 5 stars. I had taken my car in for new brakes and shortly after my steering wheel started to shake. I thought the tires might have been placed on wrong or something so I brought it back in. My manual transmission was also sticking so I asked if they could check that out too. In under an hour my car was returned to me with a recommendation of where to go to get my transmission checked and told that the shaking was due to bad tires and was given a recommendation of where to get those. Total price: $0. In theory I guess they aren't TOTAL car care since they can't do everything in house but what they can't do they give great recommendations for. These guys really look out for you and your car. I have been taking my geriatric car here since I have moved to Austin. Granted, I don't know much about cars but I have never felt like they were trying to pull one over on me. They are straight up about if I REALLY need it, if it is recommended, or if it is something to consider in the future. The waiting room is clean and comfy with free Wi-fi so waiting around isn't too bad. Read more
