I am actually astonished why some have given this provider a five rating! Last month my car turned off while I was driving it so I had towed to Austin Automotive Specialists,one of the worst decision I have made! I was told I needed a new engine as their diagnosed engine failure. I was advised that it would me $8000-10, 000 to fix it. I asked if they would give any discounts, they said NO. I wanted to know if they had any payments plan, but they said No. They would keep the vehicle until it is fully paid. Therefore, I had to tow my vehicle to City Automotive in Taylor, one of the best decisions I have made :) Guess what!? City Automotive told me that my engine had no issue whatsoever! They said my vehicle did not have gas so they put gas. They charged me only $108. My vehicle is running perfectly fine! In conclusion: Austin Automotive Specialists are either incapable or dishonest to say the least! Either way, they lost my trust!

In for an oil change here for first time this am. Melissa takes to the time to explain things to me and the other customers there. In my case, she explained why I DIDN'T need a service I asked about. The items she mentioned I should keep an eye on were things I'd been told about at other places. I got impression she's an honest person who's got far too much business to try and upsell or cheat anyone. Old-fashioned place in the best sense of the phrase. I'll definitely be back and have already recommended A.A.S.

Very happy with them. Thought the alternator was bad. Turned out it was giving crazy reading because of a bad battery. They diagnosed it and repaired same day.

They did a great job fixing my EVAP system. I was kept up to date on all issues that came with it. All questions that I asked were answered. It was a quick turnaround for the repairs.

Had an issue with the AC on one of our work trucks, took it to a few places and they couldn't fix it (they said they didn't have the machine to recharge it), but Andy said they could do it. Told him the longer the truck is down, the less work I can get done. He ordered the parts on a Thursday, then the following Tuesday dropped the truck off. They were able to repair it in one day (new compressor etc.). Overall great experience with them. I'll be using them again.
