Replaced Alternator

I brought my Jeep in for an oil leak but I also had a check engine light I asked them to diagnose. I had been to 6 other shops to diagnose what was causing the light and had 6 different answers. Paul and his crew were the first shop to give me a comprehensive diagnosis. It took a couple of trips to get it all done and the repairs ran up to about $6000 but they got it fixed. New Cam, new timing chain, new head, new Cats, and more. They were able to show me the cascade of failures and gave me detailed analysis (I am fairly mechanically savvy). These guys did great work and have extended the lifespan of my vehicle, although I hope I never have to see them again. JK - I will be back for any other maintenance I can’t handle myself.

I have brought my car in many times and am completely satisfied. Recently, I brought my car in for an air conditioning repair. Wasn't blowing cool air. Found out it was a loose wire and paid a reasonable labor cost. I doubt I could have done better anywhere else. $75. My concern with automotive repair shops is I will end up paying for work I don't need or work not done. This has happened to me in the past several times. I am convinced that at Austin's Automotive Specialists that they try to correctly diagnose and do not overdiagnose. I'll keep going to them.
