I recently visited this location to get an issue with my AC fixed. Turned out there was a leak in my evaporator coil. Which is annoying because the cost of labor is about three times that of the parts. While I understand the effort it takes to remove a dash I was disappointed that when I picked up my car and no one felt it was necessary to tell me about that cosmetic damage that was sustained by my dash during the process. No one has offered or attempted to fix the damage. It was also not mentioned as something that would happen when I dropped my car off. According to some digging and quotes from other shops Austin Automotives price for this fix was slightly higher than the average quote. With that I would expect better than average customer service, which I did not receive in any of the 5 visits I made to the shop during this process. While my AC is fixed, I will not be returning to this shop.
I'm sorry you were not warned ahead of time about the possibility of dash issues. The blazing Texas sun wreaks havoc on plastic. I know it's frustrating the cost of auto repair nowadays. especially the time it takes to disassemble and reassemble adds up to big labor.
