These folks are crooks, plain and simple. I took my vehicle in for a state inspection, no issues no check engine light. They failed me because according to them it had a leak in the power steering since it was "bone dry". They even had a picture of what they said was the reservoir. Also said that I needed a gas cap. Immediately tried to sell me a $140 service. I knew they were lying. Left there and took my vehicle down the street to another shop, didnt say a word about the failed inspection . Asked them to check out a few of the things I was told were bad. Not a single thing was legit. Passed with no issues. Steer clear of this shop, they're not honest. ----Just to clarify, no one is complaining about procedures in a state inspection. The fact is there was no power steering leak and the machine at the next state inspection facility deemed the gas cap good. What is in question is the honesty of the staff in trying to provide or sell services that were not needed. I stand by my review and those will be the last $18 dollars I will ever spend in your place of business.
A. W. I am sorry you are unhappy with the Inspection. We must by law inspect vehicles by a checklist that was designed by the State. A power steering fluid leak is a safety item and leaks that could cause steering failure does not pass inspection. a gas cap test requires a gas cap tester (built into the inspection machine) and a mere visual inspection is inadequate to determine weather it will pass or not. State required vehicle inspections while inconvenient are required for safety and environmental reasons. No business wishes to upset anyone over a $18 inspection.
