Austin's Best Choice for Auto Repair

After I read the negative reviews on here and also after I received awesome service at this location it's clear that the people that wrote negative reviews did NOT do their research on prices or they do NOT understand the safety regulations that this business follows. I took my SUV in for service because it was overheating. I did my research online so that I had knowledge of what the problem could be. After they told me what the issue was (water pump) they told me it would cost $423 for the diagnostics, parts and labor. I then did my research and found that is pretty much the best price in town for this job. For people that are getting inspections, if you're complaining that they are failing your vehicle because of issues and then you take it to some backyard neighbor mechanic and they say there is nothing wrong with your vehicle...I guess we'll all be waiting in traffic on I-35 because your car broke down on the highway

I was nearby and realized I had a busted hose (or something with the collant system). The people at Discount Tire sent me to this place and it worked out. They seemed very reasonable and helpful. I got a temporary fix until I can get the real work done in a few hours but I will go back soon to get some work done that I cannot do myself such as an alignment and shocks. Thank you.

I came in with a cooling system problem and was treated well by the staff. The job was finished in a matter of hours and I feel like I got a fair deal on the repairs.

I needed repairs to 2 vehicles, and Automotive Specialists helped me out with both vehicles. Upfront quotes were honored and the work was performed quickly. Quotes were less than other shops in town. I highly recommend this shop.

These guys are great. Andy always shoots straight and is never condescending. I don't praise auto repair businesses lightly, in fact this place is a treasure, a good repair place is hard to find especially one that isn't always trying to sell you on a ton of repairs that you may need but don't want. A stark contrast to their neighbor Precision Auto Tune who is one of the worst places I have been to.

Absolutely recommend this place! been coming here some before the name change. Clay Homann has always been great and straight with me on repairs, which is very helpful given our economy and that I'm a teacher. Thanks Austin's Automotive Specialists! I'll be back and will continue recommending others come here as well!

Brought my girlfriends Jeep into this shop because she was in dire need of new brakes and clay was definitely a straight forward guy bout fixing them. Most shops I've been in the past would never let a customer walk into their shop on the floor and look at the car. I was impressed with the service that the next day i brought my Camaro in to have work done on it. Lived in Austin for 2 years and have found my shop from now on!
