Austin's Best Choice for Auto Repair

Just got back from an oil change, the experience was good. They had fair pricing for the service that i needed. I got a full synthetic mobil 1 oil change and my air filter change for $82. I ask if they would service my transmission flush but were professional enough to decline because Nissan car's transmission has a history of problems would cause liability. I would recommend the place for there fairness and good service.

Andy and the crew at Austin Automotive Specialists are amazing! They have great customer service - fast, friendly, very knowledgeable and priced right. They squeezed me in when they already had a busy day and got me back on the road before that evening. I needed a new starter and also happen to be past due for an oil change at that time - they knocked it all out! They offer better brands of oil than the fast lube places too. This is where I will take my car always.

Andy's team is awesome. This is the only place i trust sending my daughters to and know that they won't be screwd over. We took the car there for something we thought was going to be expensive. They told us the truth that the engine needed some minor inexpensive adjustment and they didn't charge us anything. This is the place to take your car. I take my Lexus and chevy cruze there. Sam

Mike Riley, Manager, was very helpful. After getting tires rotated at Discount Tire, they referred me to Austin's Automotive Specialistss for an alignment. I had been hearing road noise and hoped this would be the solution. With Mikes assistance, it was determined that a hub assembly would need to be replaced and this was a warranty item. He could have continued to do the alignment but recommended I first get the hub at Chevrolet and then bring it back for the alignment. I did exactly that. I could have never come back and simply had the dealer do the alignment but felt like I owed it to Mike. The noise is fixed. I'd recommend Austin's Automotive Specialistss and Mike and would go back again. I am new to Austin and I just recently purchased a vehicle. I realized it needed some additional work after I purchased it (which I was not very happy about) and I was referred to Austin's Automotive Specialistss. I called and spoke with Jason about scheduling a time for me to bring my car in. Jason is very friendly and has great customer service skills. When I dropped the car off, Mike greeted that morning when I dropped it off. I explained to him the issue I was having and assured me that he and the guys would take care of it for me. I called later that morning to check on the issue and was given the estimate. I picked my car up that afternoon and it was running beautifully. The car was clean, the seat was still in the same location that I sit in, and the radio was on the same station, the mirrors in the same place and plastic on the driver's seat. The entire process of dealing with Austin's Automotive was painless and seamless. Checking in and checking out was simple. The guys were friendly and professional, the waiting room is clean, the lot and work space is neat and picked up. I would recommend calling Mike and Jason for any repairs for your vehicle. This was my second time coming here and both times were excellent! The guys at the front desk are always friendly, they keep their coffee pot full, and the waiting area is kept clean! They also have wifi available if you're going to be waiting there and need to get work done. I wasn't expecting that at all, so I was able to get way more work done while they were working on my car than I planned. The first time I went in was after an awful several month long experience at Firestone (big surprise). I had been taking my car in to Firestone regularly because I was experiencing problems with my brakes and Firestone checks them for free. After going there I don't know how many times, they finally tell me my master cylinder needed to be replaced and quoted me for a whole bunch of money (I no longer remember how much). Needless to say I took my car here and had them confirm that it was my master cylinder. Best of all, the price they quoted me was a lot lower! So I ended up having them service it. They fixed the master cylinder and even offered to replace my door handle for free (the inside handle broke off because my car is old) if I brought in a replacement one. I went back today for an oil change and because my brakes were squealing. It turns out the pads themselves were fine, but I was really impressed that instead of trying to sell me new pads to stop the noise anyway, the guy told me he wouldn't sell me a new brake job just to stop the noise! Instead he recommended that I have an adjustment and clean up on the rear breaks for a MUCH lower price. He even applied a coupon right there in the store that I didn't have to cut the price in half for me. He also recommended some minor service things that I needed done. After talking to him I decided to get everything done and got a rear brake adjustment and clean, an oil change, tire rotation and a new air filter for around $100. The entire experience also took way less time than I expected! From check in to check out, I was only there for about an hour. These guys are awesome and don't try to sell you a bunch of stuff you don't need just because the computer spits it out at them, they actually look at the car and talk to you about THOSE problems. I have found my new favorite mechanic and will be returning to them regularly for service to my car! NOTE: I was able to get my car looked at immediately without an appointment and spend so little time there because I went in right after they opened. If you need same day service quickly, go in early!
