Worst car repair experience in 20 years of living in Austin. Drop the car off with a p0102 error code. Car was running great, so I felt it might be something (ie cheaper) than the MAF sensor. Vacuum leak, bad PCV valve, hole in intake hose, ect... Shop calls and informs me that first, they need to replace the MAF sensor, before any other troubleshooting and that cost will be over $1,000. Told them to button it back up and I'll take care of it myself. They charged me $165 + tax for their effort, to tell me the same thing as my $15 OBD2 code reader. To top off the frustration, the car will not idle after picking it up. Ordered new part for $150 (ac Delco brand). All this said, the A.S. shop in Round Rock has always been an excellent shop. My problem has just been the A.S. shop in Lakeway.

The service was great! They made sure to install the best fitting windshield wipers on the front and were careful with the cover on the back wiper so it didn't break.

Thanks Tina! We look forward to working with you again!

Wow! Just wow! Went in there to find out why the AC had stopped in a small RV that I'm selling. From the moment I went in, Nick was extremely honest and forthright about my options before even having Shane, the master mechanic stop his work to give a quick look. After about 15 minutes, Shane and Nick gave me an estimate. It turned out to be much more than I wanted to spend since I'm selling. After a very friendly discussion, Shane did a couple of little things and the AC is working. There is more than should eventually be done, but after chariging me only half an hour labor, I was an extremely satisfied customer walking out the door. I immediately sent a recommendation for them to my friends and family. Feel good about requesting their service!

Overpriced and unaccountable. The repair for my vehicle’s AC was estimated to cost double ($2400!) what I was asked to pay at a competing auto shop. Before this shop inspected the AC, my car would blow hot air only when idling; it blew out Icy cold once the car began moving again. This was no longer the case after the assessment. When I phoned in to ask for an explanation, I was told there was, in fact, no change at all - it was me, actually! I was the problem. See, it was hot outside so I *felt* the AC as having hotter air. The whole experience left me regretting the other repairs I had paid for, rightly imaging it was probably double what I would have paid elsewhere. P.S. Go to Lug Nutz for a fairer price.
