Great location (near Cabela's), great communication (let me know how much repairs would be before they started work), great service (had the car ready on time). It is rare to leave an automotive repair place feeling like your were treated fairly. Break Specialist is one of those kind of places. Tell David I sent you.

I have been bringing my car here for years, my wife's cars as well. I first was referred to them by Discount Tire, when I needed to have some wheel studs replaced as the previous shop I was getting both Tires and Repairs from well messed everything up *cough* Lamb's *cough*. I came in, they quickly replaced the wheel studs and they also happened to fix my hanging license plate (without me asking or them charging me for it). I was extremely impressed with this, as the license plate had been hanging for years and the car had been taken in many, many times to other garages that don't need to be named, again. All that time, no one had bothered to fix it, you know without having to be asked. So, this won me over and I started bringing my car there for regular service and unexpected repairs. The location has had a few different managers since I first started going there, but all of them have had a good sense of humor and have not ripped me off, they do good work and are honest with you about your problems. I look forward to taking my new car there, whenever I eventually decide to retire my 1994 Corolla.

These guys are awesome. I went to them after finding the positive review above here on Yelp. They took my car in right away, went through and explained everything wrong, told me what had to be done and what could wait. And then did the work in an hour and a 1/2 and at a very reasonable rate. Highly recommend!!!

I took my car in for a inspection and oil change this past weekend to Brake Specialist's "Express Care" and was fairly pleased. They were prompt, friendly, and didn't try to upsell me on anything but headlight cleaning. 4 stars because their oil changes are on the pricey side (~$40 bucks).

It was late afternoon, my brakes were grinding terribly and I didn't think I would make it safely home. I called the closest brake repair place. Adam, the manager, told me to come in, and gave great directions to the shop. I do admit that I had to wait over an hour before they looked at my car, they were busy. The lobby was comfortable and clean with TV, magazines, coffee, restroom. My dog was able to wait with me. I needed new rotors and pads. Adam didn't push me to purchase more than I needed. He even threw in an oil change and tire rotation at no charge. My husband had recently had to do brakes on his car at another place and the charges were similar. I left my car overnight as the shop was closing for the day. The next morning, the work was finished and they provided pick up service from my home to the shop! They went the extra mile for customer service!

These guys are honest, friendly, and professional. They won't screw you around just to make money off of you. I have always had good experiences with these folks.

Located right by my house; so, we have taken both of our cars here for every possible thing you can think of. They seem to be some of the few honest mechanics out there. They have given me honest opinions on the need to replace my brakes and didn't always try to add work that didn't need to be done. They replaced an alternator on one of our cars that ended up going out not long after the labor warranty had run out and they replaced it without charging us for labor. Very nice guys and seem to do quality work. I would recommend them to anyone.

I visited this business about a week ago, after I started hearing a clunking noise under my feet. I needed to have my emergency brake adjusted, as well. Well, let me tell you that I was not expecting such awesome treatment! I was seen right way and my car was taken into the garage within minutes, even though the garage was busy. The employees were all very friendly, professional, patient, and knowledgable. There were two ladies also getting their cars worked on and they swore by this repair shop. I was confounded. Was a positive auto shop experience in store for me? Well, the guys fixed the problem with my emergency brake and also let me know that something was awry with my struts. Then, the manager called MY dealership and told me the manager there said the work would probably be covered based on my warranty! Can you imagine? (That saved me potentially a LOT of cash!) The manager at this Brake Specialists Plus was so friendly and honest. He said he was glad to help, even though I would be getting my work done by my dealership. I will not hesitate to take my car back to this Brake Specialists Plus for any of my automotive needs. It was a wonderful experience. (How many times do you read THAT about an auto shop, eh?)

These guys are great. This new Brake Specialists Plus shop was the first positive car repair experience I've had since landing in Austin 5 years ago. They took in my poor, decrepit minivan and gave me a reasonable quote. They did not try to up-sell or tell me that all my car parts were bad and that it needed this and that. They fixed the brakes as promised, and THE BRAKES WORK GREAT! I know it seems trivial, but I was very impressed that I didn't have to return to the shop to have them re-fix what I asked them to fix in the first place. They are my new go-to car place.
