Called around today to get estimates on some general maintenance type things for a used car i just bought.. I was looking for availability of service and ballpark cost of each... Services desired: -Oil Change -Alignment -Front Brakes I had already called around to 3 other businesses who were more than willing to tell me they either did or did not offer each service and if so, what the approximate cost would be, along with the disclaimer that prices may vary slightly once they see the actual vehicle. Cool, understandable. I called this place today and Mike answered the phone: He refused to tell me 1: if they offered each service, and 2: what the ballpark cost would be. He insisted on trying to get me to come into the shop before divulging any prices. i know the game, you want my vehicle in pieces and on the lift already before you tell me prices so that i will give in and say go ahead and do it .... rather than put my vehicle back together and ill take it elsewhere.... NOT THE WAY TO DO BUSINESS!

I am sorry mike did not get you the information you wanted. oil changes and alignments are set prices and are easily quoted. as far as brakes go some shops will quote a price for generic service then give you a real cost of repairs when you get in we prefer to quote exact prices once we have a certified technician go over your car and find out what your car actually needs so when we quote a price its not going to change on you.

WOW- Rolled into Austin Automotive Specialists with high hopes & They were exceeded. Just Prior to this- I had 2 bad experiences:1. At a dealership that didn't carry my Oil & 2. a place I had a coupon for that I almost died turning into their Parking lot- so full blocked driveway off highway!! Eric was very kind, professional, thorough, got me in & out (by making me an appt after my dr's appt) in 35 minutes & the best price in town- NO COUPON Necessary! They filled my tires, reset indicators, topped off everything & Used MOBIL1 which is the top recommended oil for My Honda!#NEWREPEATCUSTOMER- Go See Eric & Tell Him Kat sent you!! Tom is the manager here and this guy has a customer servants heart. On top of that he is a Military Veteran. This place employees good mechanics who like taking their skills at automotive service and repair and match it with customer care. The entire team works hard to get you fixed right the first time and get you down the road. I have yet to experience this team trying to Up sale some stuff you don't really need and neither has my wife. You may or may not find cheaper prices for an oil change or repair/ service, but if you do you run a big risk on the customer service and integrity being poor, at least in Buda and Kyle. And keep in mind that Factory Warranty work does not have to be performed by a dealership. I'm furious with these guys! They failed my safety inspection for a leaky exhaust manifold and assured me I needed a new manifold. I trusted them and ordered a new manifold. The new part would take 2-3 days to arrive, so in the meantime I took it by another garage (for the heck of it), and it passed inspection!! First, I immediately got suspicious. Of course, I called to get my money back and after several trips to the garage, multiple phone calls, and high-pressure sales tactics by Andy it still took a week to get my money back! As if that isn't enough, they charged me $400 for the new manifold-the MOST expensive one I could find online was $150! I just feels like they're raising the inspection bar to make some more money. I'll never go there again.

Ryan I am sorry you were unhappy with our service. However your exhaust manifold is leaking and some shops that do state inspections do not take their job serious. a leaking manifold can let exhaust gasses into the passenger compartment for one and also cause burnt valves in your engine. neither of which is a good thing. If you want to make a complaint to the Texas Department of Public Safety, they can have a trooper verify weather or not the manifold is leaking and if not they will fine us. if it is leaking they will then pursue the shop that passed a vehicle that they should have failed.

Awesome service, reasonable price, and great staff. I couldn't get that damn radio jingle out of my head, so when my car started acting up, I took it to their location off Research and was glad I did. Kudos to Paul for chatting with me while I waited in the lobby.

Thanks for the 5 stars and kind word Jennifer.

First time I was in the took over five hours to do a fuel filter change that usually takes 2. I thought I'd give them another chance. Had an appointment scheduled twice for an oil change to be turned away both times. Worst service and managed shop I've ever done business with.

I am so sorry Robert. We have been short handed and backed up with work. We will work on our quick in and out services such as oil changes and inspections. Thanks for the heads up.

Marco? why the one star? if there is a problem I have to know what it is to resolve it. I have researched our data base and you are not even listed as a customer. Did you have problems at check in? Was the wait too long for an inspection?
