Extraordinary customer service from Clay, wow! They need to make this guy the CEO of all Austin Automotive Specialists if he isn't already, what a rare breed. Poor service, over priced

This shop is always fast and friendly, I usually just take some of my vehicles there for their state inspection, I'm aways out of there in less then 20 minutes.

I tried to use this place but couldn't get past the arrogance. I usually do my own brakes but I was going out of town and the squeeler was making noise so I was gonna drop off the car and pick it up later. When I tried to get an idea of what their prices are the guy seemed irritated and reluctant to mention any pricing. I told him I usually do my own brakes to let him know I'm familiar with compilations that may come up so he can give me a price range depending on replacing just the pads, turn the rotors, replace the rotors etc. We'll he just says "if you do it yourself you know how much money you save so you just do it yourself". Then he proceeds to tell me how this is 2018 and they've been in business 49 years ....... Dude, I just wanna know what price range I'm looking at, not a contract, jeez. I don't usually write reviews; only when someone really impresses me. Austin automotive really impressed me, just not in a good way.

Austin Automotive Specialists are true experts! Alex is especially knowledgeable and very good about explaining car issues in detail and how to resolve them. My check engine light turned on, so I went to AAS for a check up. They were able to identify and clear the car issue codes and gave me advice on what my next steps should be. AAS has expert mechanics that will take care of all your car services without worrying if they did it correctly, so I strongly recommend them. I am loyal to AAS for all my car needs.
