My experience in the 4-5 times I have had work done have all been positive. I went in for my tires, and Paul reported my brakes would eventually need to be replaced. He gave a general timeline, but didn't pressure me to get it right away and I trust that he is on the level. After a basic oil change I also had a belt replaced, and when it was having growing pains he fixed it right away at no cost. Then just recently I got a flat in the new tire I bought from here, and Eddie was able to help me on a Saturday morning in under an hour for $20. That's way better than those Discount tire places, and my time there was comfortably cool and quiet. The waiting area is modest, a few cable channels and keurig coffee maker, and it's comfortable enough to chill in for a bit. Both guys are friendly, and I plan to use their services again.

Thank you Eva!

I've been working with Jim for my automotive needs for years now. Completely honest, down to earth dude. No crooked business and won't sell you anything you don't need!

Thanks for the review Patrick.

I'm extremely disappointed in this place. Let's start by saying I've been here a few times and have had GREAT service. Nice people and very little wait time. My last visit once again nice fast service until a week later I realize my tire had been squeaking and to find out they forgot to tighten all of my lug nuts on one tire. I understand accidents happen and though I could have been severely hurt I called and let them know what happened. I spoke with Darin the "manager" and he basically called me a liar and after telling him my concerns asks me "ok what do you want me to do about it" at this point I'm furious and from personally being a manager and working in customer service for 10+ years this had me screaming from the top of my lungs. He showed no empathy and kept making sarcastic remarks instead of just apologizing and having me come in for something they could do in 2 minutes. I show up and they tighten my lug nuts but refuse to replace the 2 that they lost or forgot to put on. 2 nuts and they couldn't even give that to me after losing mine. I hope $2 was worth losing a customer forever! Great place but that guy needs to go.

Shawn lets be straight. You have been here twice, both times for State Inspections only. No tires are removed during a state Inspection. Next you yourself watched our surveillance cameras, Saw and Agreed we did not touch your tires and yet you now want to misrepresent the facts. I hope the next shop you visit will be more to your satisfaction.

My second year with Austin Automotive. Took in my 2004 Ford Escape for oil change and asked them to make summer ready. My cool AC is now super cold again, no more rough idle at stop lights, improved acceleration... Thanks guys! These guys are great, The water pump in my work truck went out. Even though I know my way around my trucks motor. I didn't have the time to fix it being a small business owner so I drop off to the guys around closing time and by the next morning, they had it fix and ready to go by 9am!!!!!!.....They made it a Priority knowing that it was a work truck that made me money. Fixed it fast right and at a dang good price. These guys are honestly one of the best shops in town. Thank you guys for doing honest fair business. I won't be going anywhere else. It’s virtually impossible to find a mechanic that you trust implicitly; believe me, I’ve spent years trying. Clay Holmann and the staff at Austin’s Automotive Specialists of Cedar Park earned my trust from the very first time I walked into their shop, thinking I needed an extremely expensive brake job. They could have done the repair that I specifically asked for, and I would have still been satisfied with the prompt and friendly service and the high quality repair. Instead, they told me I needed a much simpler and considerably less expensive fix, thus ensuring my loyalty from that time forward (which may have turned out to be a burden more than a boon, considering my ancient and cranky Kia Sedona). Time and again since that day they have saved me - both money and sanity - through their honesty and their kindness. I have been a loyal customer for many years, and I’m actually embarrassed that I haven’t written a recommendation long before this, because they have certainly earned it repeatedly. Clay has good-naturedly supported me through some of the toughest times in my car’s life - and there have been many of those - which, as Murphy’s Law dictates, have coincided with some of the toughest times of my own life. Far from taking advantage of my various desperate situations (which many mechanics in my experience have done), Clay has frequently gone above and beyond to make sure that my car, at least, was one thing I didn’t have to worry about. He treated me as a friend, not just a customer, in a world where true customer service is vanishingly rare. Clay and his staff treat every customer with friendly professionalism; the resultant relaxed, upbeat atmosphere in the office makes it pleasant to hang out there while my car is checked. The waiting area is clean and bright, coffee is provided, and the staff are genuinely nice. I recommend Austin’s Automotive Specialists of Cedar Park to anyone and everyone who asks; I cannot speak highly enough of them. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, and will continue to be for as long as they are in existence.
