The guy in the front is always very rude and unprofessional. I think he is the one responding to the review but because of him it’s not our first time wasting so much time. They do get their job done though.

We have always gotten rave reviews for our Management team. They rate near the top. They rate 4.8 out of a possible 5 stars. I am sorry you are not satisfied with their service. We know there are a lot of choices for Automotive repair, so we do our best to keep our customers happy and returning. Reviews are not replied to by the shop. Though sometimes their input is involved in my response.

I initially wanted to get an inspection but they were very nice about telling me the inspection was filed due to brake issues, he walked me through the details of the brake issues and got straight to work on my truck and had it completed by the afternoon. I was very happy with the whole process

Thank you Randy. glad we could get you fixed up.

I had engine trouble while visiting Austin and needed to have some quick triage done in order to understand if my car was able to make the trip back. Chris at Austin's Automotive Specialists was incredible and carved out time to triage and get me back on the road. He fixed me up and got me on my way in record time and I couldn't be more grateful for this wonderful service.

Glad we could get you going Bryan!

This is the first bad experience I’ve had at this location, but it was a doozy. I took my car in for an HVAC repair. I had already pulled the codes from the car. I told them the codes that I had pulled and that the AC stopped all of a sudden and the was blowing hot on the driver side and cooler on the passenger (not cold, but cooler). The kept the car all afternoon and did nothing but evacuate and recharge the system. Zero troubleshooting. When I got in the car it was blowing cold on the driver side so I thought they actually did something. Nope, halfway home I realized the passenger side was blowing hot. By the time I got all the way home the AC was completely not working again. Took it back, they wanted to charge me $2000 to replace an actuator that is right behind the glove box (1 hour tops, I’ve changed these myself), which they lied about and tried to tell me I was wrong and blah blah blah, and they were still going to charge me for another evacuation and recharge. Which eventually they said that they wouldn’t charge me for, but they still wanted to charge for the 8 hours and parts for the actuators.

Reply from Service Writer-Mr. West dropped his vehicle off Friday morning (4-15-22). He says his A/C isn't blowing cold on the driver side but slightly blowing cold on the passenger side, and also did mention he had a scanner and found some codes for the actuator which I did fail to put in the notes for the technician. I started the ticket with a free A/C inspection. He also told me he had an aftermarket warranty also. Technician gave me back the ticket and said we need to start with a vacuum and recharge to further diagnose. So I called the warranty company to see if they cover that portion under warranty and if the component that failed is a covered part. So I called Mr. West gave him the news and he gave me the okay. The technician charged the system and added dye to detect leaks, if not for now or for later down the road. Technician can't find a leak and tells me it's blowing cold. I then called the customer to tell him it's ready. He shows up shortly after paid for the service and picked up the vehicle. The warranty company did not cover the evac and recharge. Shortly after he picked up he called me and said the passenger side was blowing hot air. I told him to bring it back so my tech can figure it out for him. Tech finds that it needs a right temp actuator which you have to pull the dash for. On this particular car the Labor Guide calls for 8.8 hours of labor. The complete dash has to be pulled as you cannot access the temp actuator through the glove box. I explained another evac and recharge would be needed but would not be charged for. We never charge for the second service. I waved the standard 1 hr. electrical diagnostic charge since I failed to inform the technician of codes and proceeded with the free pressure and leak testing. The Warranty Company didn't cover that component because it is considered electrical and not a a/c component, so I called Mr. West to give him the bad news. He declined the work and picked up the vehicle. I apologized for the mix up and felt bad it wasn't covered. The 1st evacuation and recharge had to be performed to get the AC working and was not covered by the warranty company.

I had an oil change, as usual, but have had amazing assistance from these guys over the last 5 years. They are so great! I will not go anywhere else! They are very trustworthy and very accommodating, whether recommending a dealership for warranty purposes or even checking what that dealership may have told me. I absolutely recommend going to Austin Automotive in Cedar Park! I cannot say enough positive things about this place and their staff!

Thank you Kristen! See you next visit.
