Austin's Best Choice for Auto Repair

I've been bringing my cars here for state inspections and belt work and they have been professional every time. I recently brought in my car to see if belts were causing the noise and they quickly checked it for free, diagnosing it as an exhaust manifold issue which was covered under warranty so I took it to the dealer to get it fixed for free. Thank you Austin's Automotive Specialist for being an honest neighborhood mechanic!

I brought my son's car here to fix an issue with the shifter. They did a repair that initially worked, but for whatever reason didn't take as the issue came back. After further investigation, they determined that the shifter needed to be replaced, but the shifter part cost a bit more than our investment into the repair up to that point. When I expressed to the manager (Doug) that I was disappointed that a repair was made that didn't correct the issue, and I wasn't too happy to essentially pay for a repair that I had already paid for....he did the right thing and replaced it without charging us anymore money. I will say that is a very standup company that stood beside their work, even if it cost them money to make it right. I will gladly continue to use this company.

Billy the supervisor really worked with me to get everything fixed at the price of my budget. He really went out of his way to help me out with the fixes. Highly recommend using this Austin Automotive Specialists.

They checked out my dead battery, decided it was defective, and because it was still under warranty, installed a new one at no charge.

Austin automotive is honestly the only place in Austin I really trust to take my cars. If I just need an oil change sure jiffy lube or whatever will do. But when I've had serious issues that need real work I trust Andy (the manager) and his crew more than anyone else in town. They tell me what I need to do, what I could do, and what would be nice but isn't urgent. They shot straight and fair and that's hard to find in mechanics.

Clay & Ryan run a great and welcoming environment. They are straight shooters and always treat my family, friends and I like we are their own. Would recommend this to anyone who wants honest and hardworking people working on their vehicles. Thanks y’all for being great people.

Took the car in to fix a problem with my transmission. They were fair and really worked hard to locate the problem, as opposed to a couple of places who said it had to be replaced, without looking at it btw. These guys are wonderful!! You have a customer for life!
