I had my vehicle aligned there today. The alignment seems good so far. Took quite a bit longer than expected but that's fine. My issue is that they do a complimentary 12 point inspection. Their inspection of my car revealed that the engine and cabin air filter needed immediate attention. I just replaced both two months ago so I asked what they saw that warranted attention. I was informed that they don't actually inspect the filters they just go off whatever service history is in their system. That's pretty ridiculous and not helpful whatsoever. What's the point of an inspection of you don't inspect anything. I would be suspicious of any recommended service at this shop.
I am sorry you are unhappy with your visit. Filters are replaced and fluids flushed by mileages set forth by the manufacturer. This is the reason one should use the same shop for all their services. It prevent the unnecessary replacement of parts. Shops go by service history to make recommendations. Its called preventive maintenance. You don't wait for your transmission fluid to turn black and your transmission slips before you change it, nor do you wait until your coolant breaks down and your car overheats before flushing the system. The items that are inspected do not include items that are automatically done by mileage. oil leaks, brake pad thickness, belts and hoses etc. are items that need periodic inspection. Again we are sorry for any error on our part to properly explain our services.
