"Your A/C just needs a recharge for $300." Uh-no. It needed to have the condenser replaced. Sorry, but I will NOT be returning to this location. Smh, where are the REAL mechanics at these days???

Justin, I'm sorry you were unhappy, most people aren't when they get bad news. Your truck came in with absolutely No Freon in it and there were no obvious leaks due to the fact your truck had no oil dye in it. So the first step any shop would take would be to evac and recharge the system to find any leaks. If you look at your invoice the evac and recharge price was $149.76 plus the Freon and oil dye not $300. Once that service was performed we continued to diagnose and found that your clutch fan was shot and you could actually stop your fan by hand. That was causing poor condenser flow as well as causing your truck to run hot. So that had to be replaced. After a service like that we tell a customer to drive it a while and circulate the oil dye so we would be able to locate any leaks or additional issues. It did not take long. You came back with a visible leak and we replace two leaking service ports At No Charge and when we evacuated and recharged the system for free under warranty we discovered the real culprit. Your evaporator core that is up in your dash and not visible was spitting out the oil dye from the drain tube. That is what the oil dye if For. Repairing a vehicle is a process and we don't consider it fixed until we have completed the process. So again I'm sorry we did not live up to your expectations.

First time customer and I will never take my vehicle back except for tmrrw morning because they broke something they were NOT supposed to touch. Guy said he would make a note of it and tell his guys not to touch it. Guess what, they broke it. And my vehicle is is still making the same vibration they said they fixed. Receipt says by signing it you are satisfied with the work they have done. How can I be satisfied with the work if I haven't even driven my vehicle. Now I have to take time off again tmrrw just to take it back. Don't waste your time because they will waste more of it. My guess is tmrrw they will say they did nothing wrong and or not responsible or liable.

Jesse I'm sorry you were not happy with the service, and yes a tech failed to read not to roll down your window. All vehicles require repair and maintenance and putting off replacing a broken part such as a window regulator can open the door to mistakes. As far as your vibration your brakes were on the verge of going metal to metal and you know you needed them. as far as their replacement not fixing your vibration is another issue. We fix the obvious because you cannot pass up an issue that could or would cause a vibration when braking to look for another issue that might not exist. You repair what you know is wrong, then continue if all issues are not resolved. Please reread your invoice, it states that clearly. You were also informed your vibration was not resolved before you left due to another worn part in your drive train. The carrier bearing was shot and only vibrated intermittently which is why it was not sold to you at the same time the brakes were. had it been discovered along with the needed brakes the total cost of repairs done separately would be the same as together.

Very rude. My warranty company advised me to go to them for a battery replacement. My warranty company even so much as texted me all the info complete with turn-by-turn directions to this location. When I got there to the counter the older gentleman was just sitting at the computer, didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in. Walked up to him and began explaining why I was there and he said he's never heard of my warranty company. No checking, no asking anyone, no making sure. Just we don't take it and pound sand. Ironically, I went over to another Austin Automotive Specialists location and they took it right in and changed out my battery under warranty. I would seriously avoid this place if you wish to avoid frustration from your automotive repair.

I have looked into this. I'm sorry you ran into an issue with your Drive-time Warranty. Drive-Time has been using Averex for their warranty provider who limited customers to only 3 of our shops. They have changed warranty providers to Silver-Rock who has apparently decided to refer customers to all of our shops without informing us. So The reason Our Man knew nothing of Silver-Rock was we were never informed that we would be getting customers referred to us. So without the Parmer Ln location being set up to take Silver-Rock you were referred to the shop that was set up to take the warranty. We have gotten this resolved on our end so Silver-Rock will now be accepted at all locations. Make sure you identify yourself as a Drive-Time customer to prevent any misunderstanding.

I took my car to them to get the AC fixed, and the next day they called me that my car was ready, we'll only after 24 hours my car was blowing hot air again but I didn't take t back until after 3 days because I needed my car, I took it back and they charged me another 240 dollars, even though they had given me a 12 month 12 thousand mile warranty, why they couldn't honor their warranty? I don't know, so if they call you to tell you your car is ready and you have to take it back they might not honor their warranty, just saying it happened to me.

Ms C. I'm sorry you had to come back for further repair. That can occur with AC service. Please review your receipts if you were charged a second time I will be more than happy to correct it. However if the charge is for additional service then it would not be under warranty. Warranties cover the parts and the labor to replace those parts. it does not cover the old or original parts not replaced. AC systems operate under high pressures and can fail at any time or in some cases take more than one visit to resolve. I would appreciate a call from you so we resolve this to your satisfaction.
