I am new to town, and don't know very many people here, and had to rely on Yelp to help me find a good, reliable, and most importantly, honest shop here in Austin. Thank you to all the fellow Yelpers who guided me to Austin's Automotive Specialistss. The rear hatch lock actuator went out on my Suburban on a Friday afternoon, which meant we couldn't get the lift gate open to access our stroller, and other necessities. With 3 kids under 3 years old, this is about as big a problem as we could have. Desperate to get this fixed on a Saturday, I showed up to this location early in the morning, and was met with enthusiasm! Having shown up to other shops on a weekend, without an appointment, this was a pleasant surprise to be received this way! Besides the lock actuator in the back, I had been having some bad steering issues that 2 other shops had been unable to properly address. Clay got me right in, and got to work! The were able to get the rear lift gate fixed that day, a huge relief for me and my wife! While they couldn't address the steering issue due to my lifted suspension, they were able to put the Suburban up on the rack, and show me where the problem is coming from. They recommended I take it to a shop that specializes in lifted vehicles, and what the problem may be. I really appreciate them taking the time to put it back on the rack, and show me exactly what is going on. Even though they couldn't fix it, they have me going in the right direction now, something the 2 previous shops failed to do. Paul and his crew and awesome!! This location and the Cedar Park one are my go to guys for our service and repairs! They have the knowledge and experience to diagnose and repair your vehicle right the first time! Very well maintained so I might add. While there I noticed a gentleman mopping the shop floors and hauling out trash keeping the place looking good and making sure the techs have a clean and safe work environment! Safety is a key thing at this location especially when working on the bigger trucks like they do here. The lobby is truly great to wait in with dimmed lighting in there I've caught myself in a little cat nap from time to time! Great place to work in as well though if you need to setup your laptop or tablet. Great job guys and keep up the good work!! Highly recommend this location to anyone for their vehicle service and repair needs!

Clay and Todd are awesome! Techs also know what they're doing and fix it right the first time. I've been to this location several times and always treated well. On one occasion Clay stated they could not fix my issue and recommended I take it to Ford in which I did. Had they known what the code was exactly no doubt they could've done the work, but not all information is retrievable some times. They shoot customers straight as well, while waiting on another vehicle of ours to get repaired a customer walked in and wanted an oil change in which there was at least a two hour wait. They were prepared to wait in the lobby for it, but Todd told them the chairs were not that comfortable (which is true, lol) and if they'd prefer going home and waiting comfortably then return in two hours he would get them right in! That's top notch service in my book people! I highly recommend them for your automotive needs big or small! Great service guys!

Jerome took care of my issue in a professional and prompt manner. He made me feel like my time was valuable. I truly appreciate his hard work. I will definitely come here next time my vehicle needs work.

Quick, Honest & Efficient they even gave me a ride to my house while I waited for my car!

Austin Automotive was quick efficient and honest!

Parts pricing was a bit steep but Eric did try to earn my business by lowering the prices twice for me. At the end of it I bought my own parts much cheaper and paid them for the labor to install new front and rear Bilstein 5100 shocks on my truck. They got me in and out in a few hours.
