I came in on a Friday with a car that had intermittent issues with starting, and they were able to get me in right away and run diagnostics. Unfortunately they weren't able to find a concrete answer on the cause (something that I had kind of expected given the intermittent nature of the problem and the sheer amount of possible causes), but they /were/ able to give me a solid lead to go off of. Billy in particular was extremely helpful, friendly and informative throughout the process, and made the experience far less stressful than it could have been. I was honestly shocked with just how informative the visit was, considering that most other automotive services I've visited don't really bother explaining things in a way a layman could understand. In contrast, the lobby here was decked out in simple and clear infographics, and the staff (again, major props to Billy here) were understanding and did their best to talk me through everything, rather than just talk /at/ me. All in all, I was very satisfied with my visit, and would definitely feel comfortable recommending this place to others. 5/5 for service, 10/5 for Billy. You go, man.

I will highly recommend this automotive shop to all my friends , family and all the people I know that needs good honest automotive shop for their vehicles ! You can’t go wrong with Austin Automotive Specialist , these people really care and know what they’re doing and doesn’t charge an arm and a leg like other shops or dealerships do . They’re great !!!

Great and honest place that I will continue to use into the future. As someone who works in hospitality, it’s definitely refreshing to find a maintenance shop that provides both good customer service and honest advice.

I came by late in the afternoon to see about getting a state inspection done for my truck. They were able to squeeze me in and it only took about 30 minutes. The employees were friendly and I will use them again.

I've been bringing my cars here for state inspections and belt work and they have been professional every time. I recently brought in my car to see if belts were causing the noise and they quickly checked it for free, diagnosing it as an exhaust manifold issue which was covered under warranty so I took it to the dealer to get it fixed for free. Thank you Austin's Automotive Specialist for being an honest neighborhood mechanic!

I brought my son's car here to fix an issue with the shifter. They did a repair that initially worked, but for whatever reason didn't take as the issue came back. After further investigation, they determined that the shifter needed to be replaced, but the shifter part cost a bit more than our investment into the repair up to that point. When I expressed to the manager (Doug) that I was disappointed that a repair was made that didn't correct the issue, and I wasn't too happy to essentially pay for a repair that I had already paid for....he did the right thing and replaced it without charging us anymore money. I will say that is a very standup company that stood beside their work, even if it cost them money to make it right. I will gladly continue to use this company.
