Excellent service as usual!

I’ve got a 2010 wrangler that was failing it’s inspection due to an air leak in the fuel system. Clay and his team walked through the fuel intake to the line to the pump to the tank, creating some different solutions which weren’t just “oh you need to buy a new xyz” on every aspect. They always answered the phone for status updates and worked the entire process around a kid going to and from Denton for college. It’s done now, the Jeep accelerates (and passes inspection ha!) like it should and knowing also this is Napa warrantied, anywhere in the US, how can a college parent feel much better about the safety for their kid post repair? Moving my auto repair and maintenance work here. It’s a nice feeling, like when you trust your barber. Very pleased with them

It doesn’t pay to be a single woman when going to mechanic shop with vehicle problems as mechanic shops such as tAustin Automotive Specialist will try and take advantage of a single woman. I made an appointment to have an alignment and check the brakes on my vehicle. Apparently the guy at the counter forgot to put me down and said that he didn’t see where I had made an appointment. He acted like he didn’t remember me from a few days prior. I showed him the appointment card and he still looked confused. He took my vehicle back and I sat in a room for approximately 15 minutes and he came out and said that I had more issues than an alignment. He said that my toe rods were bad and that he couldn’t do an alignment until those were fixed. He had typed up an estimate for $1500!!!! I left and went up the road to Tires for U and they did the alignment and said there is nothing wrong with the tie rods and I showed them the estimate from Austin Automotive and they said that he was just trying to upsale me something that I didn’t need done on my vehicle. I then went up the road to Moose Automotive and got another opinion. He said the guy was over charging for the price of the brakes and that the tie rods on my vehicle were tight and nothing wrong with them. Moose did the brake job and charged a very fair price! So, lessened learned………….. if you’re a single woman don’t go to Austin Specialist as they will try and take advantage of you!!! Tires 2 U and Moose’s Automotive took care of my vehicle and didn’t try to take advantage of me because I’m a single woman.
