Stopped by the shop and had to make an appointment just to have my vehicle looked at for 4 days later. On the day of my appointment, I dropped off my vehicle at the time of my appointment at 9:30am and was told I would have to leave it all day?!? When I showed up at the time I told them I needed it ready for pick up at 3:30pm, it was still not done. Then got the quote which was overpriced and very unclear! Even had things on the quote that was not why I brought my vehicle in. Took it to another shop for a 2nd opinion and was quoted $2000 less!

Hi John. We do apologize for the time it took to get your vehicle fully diagnosed as that is not typical. There was quite a bit to diagnose and report back to you so we can see how that could have been confusing. And while we shared our digital vehicle inspection and pictures to help, we clearly could have done a better job explaining the issues we found and what was important related to why you brought the vehicle in, and what other items to keep an eye on for down the road were. In regards to price, we work hard to make sure our pricing is competitive with the market. And we use quality parts that we believe will last and outperform others. Again, sorry for the time it took to get your vehicle diagnosed and for any communication issues. We hope you give us a chance to prove ourselves to you in the future. Thanks.

I really love working with this auto repair shop. They are always really responsive and explain clearly what the car needs and why. They let me know what is coming up 3-6 months out so that I can plan for the cost which is a huge help.

I have used Austin’s Automotive Specialists for many years for oil changes and major repairs. I have always found them to be courteous and honest with service. The name in the front has changed several times, but the folks here have always been reliable and reasonably priced.

Back in 2021, these folks gave me an oil change that failed. The car was driven briefly with no oil and the oil was replaced by them the next day. I asked them for a warranty which they reluctantly gave me. This year after very little miles driven the engine failed. They claim they had no record of the warranty and did nothing but tow the car there and tow it away. They definitely had a “too bad for you”mentality. So this little oil change cost me $3800 for a new motor . I would definitely avoid them and their business practices .
