I took my truck in to get the lower ball joints and passenger side motor mount replaced. I also asked to check for any other worn out parts in the process. I supplied the parts, and they supplied the labor. I paid over 1100.00 in repairs. The manager did not mention anything worn out or broken when I left the garage. I noticed immediately that there was a thump everytime I accelerated from a stop. After I got home I popped the hood, put on the emergency brake, and with the engine running put it in gear and applied accelerator. The engine jumped, signifying that the Drivers side motor mount was now broken. It wasn't when I brought it in, or I would have brought the part and instructed him to replace the Drivers side motor mount. Being very upset, I called the location and told him what has happened and he told me then the mount was broken. How did it get broken? Did it break when the engine was being jacked up to replace the Passenger side motor mount? He claimed it was already broken, which it wasn't, and after arguing for awhile he said he would only charge me $260.00 to replace it if I bought the part. I agreed to it then, but the more I thought about it, Why am I paying for something they broke? Not right at all. I'll do it myself even though I don't have the time to do it.
Ryan I am sorry you are unhappy with our service. However you asked for a specific service and got irritated because we recommended more. We explained up front, the Drivers side motor mount was the most likely to fail and both should be replaced. With over 200,000 mile on your truck it still has items that need attention. We will be more than happy to address those if you wish. We have tried reaching out to you but have yet to get a response.
