No complaints about the mechanics. I spent $2K to have our Lexus fixed. It's the phone calls. The guy has been condescending and bordering on rude each time, and wouldn't answer a clear question this last time: "What is a rough estimate for replacing a cylinder 1 spark plug for a Saab SUV?" Refused to quote for 10 minutes, despite saying it's a simple job, then coming up with all the reasons it might not work. Yes, I understand the scope might be greater than what we're talking about. What's the quote if we start there? No answer. Other shops quoted me directly. Thanks anyway.

This was my first visit to Austin Automotive! Brandon was so helpful, I called him and ask him half dozen questions before I came in! They got me right in changed my oil, rotated my tires and checked my belts and topped off all my fluids! Big shout out to the mechanic on duty(I’m sorry I have forgotten your name) he went out of his way to pop the under cover back into place on my car! An honest repair shop. I brought my vehicle in to have the suspension diagnosed due to a clunking noise. They had a couple of mechanics drive my vehicle around to see if they could replicate the noise, but it didn't happen. So they invited me to drive around with one of the mechanics and I was able to replicate the noise going over a bump. While talking with the mechanic I really got the sense that he was knowledgeable, skilled, and cared a great deal about his craft. Upon returning to the shop he was able to find the source of the clunking noise within minutes. The exhaust pipe wasn't mounted securely and was hitting underneath the vehicle (when going over large bumps). The management at the front desk was very friendly in recommending needed maintenance, and didn't pressure me into getting any services. Their main priority was customer satisfaction, and they were very accommodating. I will be bringing my vehicle back here, and highly recommend Austin's Automotive Specialists to others.
