I came to this shop randomly and unintentionally.. My car tire blew when I was on the toll road, so I pulled off and rejoiced when I saw there was an automotive shop right off the exit. I'm 8 months pregnant and had my son (under 2) with me, and my husband was in the middle of a business meeting, so I had no hope of fixing things myself. Clay was welcoming and SO helpful. He kindly took care of EVERYTHING (I didn't even know if I had a spare tire, where my wheel lock was, etc.) while my son and I waited in his shop. He didn't even charge me, and he refused to take the cash I tried to hand him. I'm so thankful that he saved me from a total disaster being trapped on a cold day with my little guy! Although this is a small shop, the staff are professional and a team of well qualified technicians. Each time our vehicle has been in the shop, we promptly received diagnostics, an accurate estimate, and expected completion time that was reasonable. While most reviews you will read online from customers that may have had one experience with a business, my husband and I recently purchased a used vehicle that unfortunately immediately began to have different issues. Over the years we have have owned dozens of vehicles and have had service/repair done at many shops. While I can't speak for the other locations, I can say that this location in particular is one of the most honest, prompt, and professional around. My car (manual transmission) was having issues on my way back to Buda and called these guys while on the highway! They said bring my car down. They checked what the issue was with the clutch and recommended a new clutch (car has 125k miles). Price was on the high side but they didnt push me to do it. They were ok if I took my car out and take it somewhere else (diagnostic charges still applies of course). Everyone I interacted with was nice, no douche selling, scaring tactic or anything like that. I am new to town, and don't know very many people here, and had to rely on Yelp to help me find a good, reliable, and most importantly, honest shop here in Austin. Thank you to all the fellow Yelpers who guided me to Austin's Automotive Specialistss. The rear hatch lock actuator went out on my Suburban on a Friday afternoon, which meant we couldn't get the lift gate open to access our stroller, and other necessities. With 3 kids under 3 years old, this is about as big a problem as we could have. Desperate to get this fixed on a Saturday, I showed up to this location early in the morning, and was met with enthusiasm! Having shown up to other shops on a weekend, without an appointment, this was a pleasant surprise to be received this way! Besides the lock actuator in the back, I had been having some bad steering issues that 2 other shops had been unable to properly address. Clay got me right in, and got to work! The were able to get the rear lift gate fixed that day, a huge relief for me and my wife! While they couldn't address the steering issue due to my lifted suspension, they were able to put the Suburban up on the rack, and show me where the problem is coming from. They recommended I take it to a shop that specializes in lifted vehicles, and what the problem may be. I really appreciate them taking the time to put it back on the rack, and show me exactly what is going on. Even though they couldn't fix it, they have me going in the right direction now, something the 2 previous shops failed to do. Clay and Todd are awesome! Techs also know what they're doing and fix it right the first time. I've been to this location several times and always treated well. On one occasion Clay stated they could not fix my issue and recommended I take it to Ford in which I did. Had they known what the code was exactly no doubt they could've done the work, but not all information is retrievable some times. They shoot customers straight as well, while waiting on another vehicle of ours to get repaired a customer walked in and wanted an oil change in which there was at least a two hour wait. They were prepared to wait in the lobby for it, but Todd told them the chairs were not that comfortable (which is true, lol) and if they'd prefer going home and waiting comfortably then return in two hours he would get them right in! That's top notch service in my book people! I highly recommend them for your automotive needs big or small! Great service guys!

Jerome took care of my issue in a professional and prompt manner. He made me feel like my time was valuable. I truly appreciate his hard work. I will definitely come here next time my vehicle needs work.
